With a combined 10 years of teaching, performing and competing in Latin dance, Becky and Fernando are respected as world class professionals. They travel extensively for training, learning from the world’s best, while remaining true to their distinctive style which brings together the energy and passion of street style Latin dancing with elegance and sophistication.
Fernando and Becky have certainly made their mark. Winners of the Sydney Salsa Competition in 2003, in 2004 they went on to place second in the national championships and to dazzle the Australian public on ABC’s Strictly Dancing.In the same year they were the first Australian couple to be finalists at the Mayan World Salsa Competition in Los Angeles.
Their many performance highlights include demonstrating and instructing at the 1st Festival de Salsa in New Caledonia and performing at the Australian, New York and Miami Salsa Congresses in 2005. Fernando and Becky have thrilled crowds of over 4000 people at Australia’s biggest Latin Festivals including; Sydney’s Barcadi Festival in 2002, 2003 and 2004, Maroubra Festival in 2004, Sydney Latin Festival in 2003 and 2004 and Darling Harbour’s Latin Fiesta in 2003.
